That was pretty awful when it happened...good thing no was killed...a friend of mine was actually in the shop when the fire started, but she was evacuated safely :nod: Fantastic shot btw

Incredible photo. I was shocked when i looked out the front window and saw the flames and massive smoke cloud over Hobart from my house in Bellerive. The flames, at one stage, were twice as tall as any building in Hobart, quite scary really!

Awesome shots yet again Ian. That fire got unbelievably intense! I can't believe the festival atmosphere the city had the following day when every man and their dog came in for a sticky beak. I saw mothers taking photos of their children infront of the fire trucks and others pushing their prams down to the end of the Mall for a look.

Yes I know, and in 5 newspapers too. I submitted some of my pics to the deputy picture editor of AAP (my friend knows her) but only after they had spent their budget on the myer fire pics. She said they were better then most that she had paid for. So I didn't gain anything, financially at least.

i used to shop there as in i use to live in hobart...hey i have no problem with charcoal...i could become one giant charcoal stick and draw all over the pavement by rolling
